About
Sebastiano Ranchetti is a florentine artist, graphic designer and illustrator. He was raised on a farm in the florentine countryside and became a graphic designer in the 1980s while living in Wuppertal and London. After having returned to Florence, he pursued a career as designer and art director until 2005, when he decided to become a digital artist. He has since created 16 illustrated children’s books about animals which have been published internationally, and has exhibited in art galleries and other venues. Sebastiano’s work aims to joyfully communicate his love for nature, and to help increase human’s awareness of animals as conscious beings. His colorful artworks have been featured in books and magazines, and have been licensed to appear on calendars, notebooks, diaries and t-shirts. He creates custom animal portraits for clients around the world. Sebastiano lives with his family and pets in a country house close to the church of San Miniato al Monte.
